  3. Nice drink, but its not a gin flip.

  4. I shake the egg first because I use powdered egg-whites. Mixing powdered whites with alcohol turns it all into silly-putty–which is not really a palatable beverage. And my research shows that lemon is more typical of the beverage. I believe a splash of club soda is also an acceptable variation.
